Mattia Zaccagni's goal with the last kick of the game earned Italy a 1-1 draw with Croatia to set-up a last-16 date with Switzerland. Italy were poor for most of the game and need to improve, while one of their few standout players - Riccardo Calafiori - is suspended for the next tie. Croatia are unlikely to qualify with only two points and a minus three goal difference.

Spain topped Group B with a 100 per cent record after beating Albania 1-0. A much-changed side lacked the fluency of the first two games but Ferran Torres' strike separated the sides and Albania go out.

Gareth Southgate has claimed he won't be distracted by criticism of England's performances at Euro 2024. The Three Lions were poor in Thursday's 1-1 draw against Denmark, but Southgate said: "What's important to me is I guide this group of players through the tournament. We're a high profile team with expectations and we understand everything we do will be scrutinised. I don't need to listen to externals because I am my own biggest critic."

Reports in the Czech Republic have suggested Patrik Schick won't be available for Wednesday's clash with Turkey. Schick scored in the 1-1 draw against Georgia and would be a big miss given the Czechs need to beat Turkey to stand a realistic chance of qualifying.

"I do not want to regret that I retired too early, when I still could have played longer," said the 35-year-old. Italy defender Alessandro Bastoni promises his side will approach tonight's showdown with Croatia in Leipzig with 'no fear' as they look to seal a top-two place in Group B.
