"Gigio [Donnarumma] has been giving Italy a big hand at this tournament," Buffon said. "It's important to recognise and give credit to those who are doing something special. Denmark midfielder Christian Eriksen believes his side can cause a major upset against Euro 2024 host Germany in their last-16 clash on Saturday night. "A lot of people seem to think that we've lost already, so we can play freely and give our all," he said. "I'm looking forward to showing that we can rub shoulders [with the best teams] in this tournament. I believe we can beat the Germans, but many things will have to come together for us."

Denmark midfielders Christian Eriksen and Thomas Delaney missed training on Friday with "stomach issues" but head coach Kasper Hjulmand appears confident they will be available to take on Germany on Saturday. "We decided they would not train. Hopefully they will be ready for tomorrow," Hjulmand said.
