France head coach Didier Deschamps accepts his side will be weakened if the broken nose Kylian Mbappe suffered in the 1-0 win over Austria rules him out of the rest of the tournament. France got their Euro 2024 campaign off to a winning start with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Austria in their Group D opener in Dusseldorf. Max Wober inadvertently headed Kylian Mbappe's cross into his own net in what was the decisive moment in the 38th minute. It was a 100th win for Didier Deschamps as France boss but he may have been more concerned by a late injury sustained by Mbappe.
