England have made one change from their last-16 win over Slovakia against quarter-final opponents Switzerland. Ezri Konsa starts for the suspended Marc Guehi, although it looks like a tweak in formation to a 3-4-2-1. Netherlands head coach Ronald Koeman believes their convincing 3-0 win over Romania in the last 16 has given them a large dollop of confidence, but insists Turkey are a "different opponent with different qualities." Speaking to reporters, he said: "We are playing in Berlin for a semi-final, a great opportunity to progress even further in the tournament. But we're not just going to romp to a win, that certainly won’t be the case. It's going to be a very difficult game."

Gareth Southgate is confident that belief is growing in the England camp as they prepare to take on Switzerland in the quarter-finals of Euro 2024. He told the BBC: "The longer the players are here, the more belief they have, the less they are being affected by what's outside. They can see the opportunity."

France head coach Didier Deschamps backed his players after a penalty shootout win over Portugal secured a semi-final spot, despite Les Bleus having not scored from open play at Euro 2024. He told reporters: "It is pride for my players even though not everything has been done perfectly. We just keep going. I'd like to seize this moment and make the most out of it."

Luis de la Fuente says his Spain side definitely have a chance to go all the way at Euro 2024 after edging out Germany 2-1 to reach the semi-finals, where they will face France. He said: "They have an opportunity to win the tournament. How far we will get, we will see, but we're absolutely convinced that we can get very far with this side."

Germany midfielder Toni Kroos admitted a quarter-final exit at the hands of Spain hurt badly, with his career having been ended by a 2-1 defeat in Stuttgart. He told reporters: "The goal that we had we were unable to achieve and the dream we had is over. We played a good tournament, but when you're so close to be eliminated like that, it's bitter."

France are through to the Euro 2024 semi-finals to face Spain, overcoming Portugal in a penalty shootout after their last-eight clash finished goalless after extra time. Les Bleus arguably had the better of the chances in 90 minutes, A Selecao in extra time, but neither side could find a breakthrough. The decisive moment in the shootout came with Portugal's third spot kick when Joao Felix struck the post, with Diogo Costa unable to replicate his last-16 heroics as France converted all of their penalties, Theo Hernandez coolly finding the top corner to send Didier Deschamps' men through.

Gareth Southgate has confirmed that left-back Luke Shaw is "available to start" for England against Switzerland on Saturday but stopped short of saying he would do, adding that Kieran Trippier has been "outstanding for us". The Three Lions boss remained coy on potential changes, saying: "There's that balance of continuity but players coming into the game having a good impact".

Spain have knocked out hosts Germany with a thrilling 2-1 win after extra time. La Roja lost Pedri to injury early in a scrappy first half but his replacement, Dani Olmo, put Spain in front soon after half-time with a cool finish to a Lamine Yamal assist. Germany piled on the pressure and managed to force extra-time when Florian Wirtz struck from close range in the 89th minute. And just when the game looked destined for a shootout, Olmo's cross from the left was headed home by Mikel Merino in the 119th minute to send Spain, who had Dani Carvajal sent off late on, through to the semi-finals.
