Julian Nagelsmann has talked up the "great talent" that is Lamine Yamal - with the caveat that the teenager "lacks experience" - and admits facing him and Nico Williams will be a "good test" for Germany, but insists there is a whole lot more to Spain than their flying forwards. "I don't solely focus on their wingers," Nagelsmann said. "Spain has many qualities, not only the wingers. They are a complex team to defend. We need the ball, that's for sure."

Forward Mikel Oyarzabal insists Spain are not reading too much into the added pressure that raised expectations bring, and the players simply remain confident that they can beat anyone if they are performing at their best. "Now they say we're favourites, but three or four weeks ago, nobody was saying it," Oyarzabal said. "We know we are capable of competing against anyone. French media reports claim Didier Deschamps will start Eduardo Camavinga in France’s quarter-final clash with Portugal. Adrien Rabiot is suspended for Friday's game in Hamburg, after collecting a second yellow card of the tournament in the last-16. Camavinga and Youssouf Fofana appeared to be Deschamps' two options, with L’Equipe saying the Real Madrid man will be named in the starting XI.

John Stones has played down concerns over his fitness, after wearing a heavy strapping around his knee in training. The defender insists he is 'all good' for England's quarter-final with Switzerland, adding that it "looks worse with the strapping than what I have done". When asked about suggestions that England will change their formation on Saturday, Stones claimed nobody in the squad "knows the exact team or system".
